Is Turkey Controlling NATO?

Date:

NATO is the most powerful military alliance in the world, with 30 countries as its members. Most of them are in Europe and some are very close to Russia which is one of the main enemies besides China, Iran, and North Korea.

NATO has more military personnel, equipment, and economic resources than those four countries together. The members of NATO are protected by Article # 5 of their agreement, which stated that an attack on one of them is an attack on ALL of them and that each member has to come to the defense of that member.

For any country to be accepted as a new NATO member one of the requirements is that ALL members have to approve that application. Now there are 2 countries, Finland and Sweden that have been presenting their application to become NATO members, countries that are big and close to Russia, in particular Finland which has a border with Russia. Both are democratic countries and their membership in NATO will be synonymous with ” UNITY and STRENGTH ” besides that they can contribute not only with military power but also with many other resources for deterrence, such as economy, personnel, equipment, intelligence, and diplomatic members.

One of the members of NATO is Turkey and is the ONLY one that opposes the membership of Finland and Sweden, with the argument that Finland and Sweden have been helping the soldiers and people of Kurdistan, which are the same soldiers and people that the US army is helping and getting help by coordinating their military operations against terrorists in the Middle East region, as well as many others democratic countries, are doing with Kurdistan.

Turkey knows that accepting Finland and Sweden as a member of NATO will strengthen the organization and will debilitate communist enemies like Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea, but Turkey has a STRONG diplomatic, military, economic and friendly relationship with Russia and China. Now Finland, Sweden, as well as ALL members of NATO are asking themself WHY? is Turkey acting against having a more powerful NATO organization and WHY? its behavior is like a typical TROJAN HORSE against its own organization. Does NATO have the ability to go over the veto of Turkey? Does NATO have the ability to pass a resolution for the MAJORITY of its members to accept Finland and Sweden? Is Turkey controlling NATO’s membership or acting AGAINST its member?

Turkey will be WEAK if it leaves NATO, and NATO will be strong if it accepts two LOYAL new members. There is no doubt that the president of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan is acting with a selfish personality in favor of Russia, China, and Iran and maybe he could be doing it because there is some secret agreement between them…
